This guide outlines how to register a business and its phone numbers via API, providing protection against inaccurate spam labeling and providing access to critical reputation status information. Access is also available for individual enterprises using Hiya’s free Number Registration web portal. API access is provided for businesses that may provide registration and reputation monitoring as a service to their customer, or as a convenient way to automate the maintenance of any registered business frequently changing phone numbers.

Number Registration is an independent service from Hiya’s Branded Call service. Registration of numbers in this product does not change any branding shown during calls.

Request an API key

Access to the Number Reputation APIs is available via RESTful API calls, queried with a unique API key that will be provided by Hiya after a service agreement is signed. To begin, connect with a Hiya service agent to begin the process of starting your account and receiving an API key.

Note: If this service will be used to see the reputation of phone numbers in use by other companies, you will need to provide contact information for those companies and must have documentation on file that grants you authorization to represent the company for services such as number registration.

Access to this API is a premium service. Service fees may apply for each registered business and for each use of the reputation endpoint. Terms of access will be arranged during initial discussions to grant API keys.
