Data transferred for billing and licensing
In order to validate contract terms and quantify usage for billing purposes, a licensing and credit system is integrated into the solution.
When containers are deployed, they contact the Hiya Platform to verify that your license is active, and consume credits from your Hiya Platform account whenever a verification is performed.
The following data is transferred from the Hiya containers to the Hiya Platform (api.hiya.com):
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| API Token | License and deployment verification |
| Amount of audio verified (in seconds) | Pay-per-use billing |
No other audio information is transferred or otherwise processed by the Hiya Platform when providing the on-premise service.
Network connectivity matrix
The following assumptions apply:
- IP X.X.X.X — IP or IP range of the sources consuming the Hiya Service
- IP Y.Y.Y.Y — IP or IP range of the Hiya Service
| Source IP | Source Port | Destination IP | Destination Port | Protocol |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| X.X.X.X | * | Y.Y.Y.Y | 8080 | gRPC |
| Y.Y.Y.Y | * | api.hiya.com | 443 | HTTPS |
